Pinnacle Peak real estate is a large area east of Scottsdale Rd, south of Happy Valley and on both sides of Pinnacle Peak Rd. It is split by Pima Road and is located on the north end of the McDowell Mountains. Housing options include condominiums, townhouses, villas, patio homes, semi-custom single-family homes and custom estates. New housing and retail developments are continuing northward because of available land.
West side of Pima: Homes are generally in smaller communities with HOAs and the lots range in size from 1/3 of an acre to over an acre. There also are horse properties spread out in the area without any HOAs. Homes have a wide range of prices and both gated and non-gated communities are available. This area is in the Paradise Valley Unified School District, with school aged children attending Pinnacle Peak Elementary, Mountain Trail Middle School and Pinnacle High School.
East side of Pima: Homes have larger lots that range in size from 5 to 15-acres of land. Because many of the homes are built into the mountains, they blend into the natural setting and have beautiful views of the cityscape, as well as the Sonoran desert. Both gated and non-gated communities are available. This area is in the Scottsdale Unified School District (Copper Ridge Elementary, Copper Ridge Middle School and Chaparral High School) and the Cave Creek School District (Desert Sun Academy, Sonoran Trails Middle School and Cactus Shadows High School).
There are many opportunities to be active in the community since there are plenty of multi-use trails and pathways that are accessible for walking, biking, or horse back riding. The nearby Sonoran Preserve and Pinnacle Peak offer great paths for hiking and mountain biking as well. If you enjoy golfing, within the community is Pinnacle Peak Country Club with an 18-hole golf course. The private member owned club offers dining, a fitness center, tennis, pool/spa and youth activities. There are plenty of other top rated golf courses nearby, like Grayhawk Country Club and Troon Country Club, just to name a few.
The Pinnacle Peak community has several shopping centers that have restaurants and stores. But if you’d like to venture out of the community, the shops/restaurants at Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarters, Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and Old Town Scottsdale are all within 15-20 minutes away. The Loop 101 freeway is easily accessible and the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is about a 30 min drive.
