Triple Crown is a small community located in North Scottsdale near N Tatum Boulevard and E Grovers Avenue. Homes in this
gated community were primarily built by Centex Homes between 1996 and 1999. There are four neighborhoods (Preakness, Churchill Downs, Del Mar and Belmont)
with a total of 553 homes that range from 1,300 square feet to just over 4,000 square feet. Majority of the housing are single-family homes, with a one-story or two-story option. However, apartments and condominiums are also available and unlike most homes in the valley, basement homes are available in the Triple Crown real estate. These basement homes typically have an open recreation room, two bedrooms and a full bath.
A community pool is available in Triple Crown, along with park areas that have walking paths, a volleyball court, basketball courts and plenty of open grassy areas.
There are plenty of trails and hikes near the community for any outdoor enthusiasts. The Reach 11 Recreation Area is minutes away and is a 7,500-acre City of Phoenix park. There are 18 miles of groomed, multi-use trails that are used by equestrians, bicyclist and hikers. Part of the recreation area includes the Sports Complex, which contains the AZ Diamondbacks Field of Dreams with 4 baseball fields and the largest soccer complex in Arizona with 18 lighted soccer fields.
The Loop 101 Freeway and State Route 51 are nearby, giving easy access to adjoining communities and their amenities. The Desert Ridge Marketplace and CityNorth are popular outdoor malls that are minutes away and have numerous shopping and restaurant options. Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarters, Paradise Valley Mall, Old Town Scottsdale and many top-rated golf courses are also nearby. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is only 25 minutes away and their are many hospitals in close vicinity, like the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Paradise Valley Hospital and Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital.
